Tera Evelynne Hines

She is here!

Just in case you don’t follow me or one of my relatives on social media…Baby “T” has arrived!

Friday, August 8th

1:34 am

6 pds, 14 oz

18 1/2 inches long

We are doing great adjusting to being a family of three. Theo has been absolutely incredible, and I really can’t complain about Tera at all. She has a great plumbing system and I think it’s safe to say that we are successfully figuring out the nursing thing….we are all learning as we go!

We had quite the stay at the birth center, but are FINALLY home now. Since I was GSB positive, I was supposed to have two separate courses of antibiotics BEFORE I delivered…but that didn’t happen. So they had to watch Tera for at least 48 hours before they would let us go. They also said they would have let us go home much sooner, but the pediatrician wouldn’t sign off on releasing her unless I could see a pediatrician the next day. Well, no pediatricians are open on Sunday. So we spent three sleepless nights at the birth center, getting interrupted by everybody and their brother who worked at the hospital, listening to three other women give birth and trying our best not to go stir crazy.

Being home is AMAZING, especially since Grandpa and Grandma are here to help!

I will have a different post up eventually with her entire birth story…I am so excited to get it into writing and share it, because it is now my favorite story OF MY LIFE and I want to remember all the details before they fall out of my sleep-deprived head!

We absolutely love her, and I’m sure you will, too!!!

Congratulations!!!!! I look forward to hearing the birth story!

I’m sorry about such a long birth center stay though, that’s tough! Our first was like that. With the other two I left as fast as they would let me, haha! 14hrs after my second, and 4hrs after my third! 😉

Enjoy your baby moon and parents’ visit!
