Spam Comments

Every day, I try to work on my blog a little bit. Sometimes it’s 5 minutes, sometimes it several hours.

No matter how much time I spend on my blog in a given day, the first thing that I do is check the comments section.

Imagine my surprise when one day I checked my blog and had over 50 comments! I was SO excited! Surely I finally got the big break I’ve been working so hard for! Finally, someone stumbled upon my blog and shared it around and so many people loved it that they shared it around and then they all left comments telling me how great my writing is, and how they so agree with what I said, or how they laughed and cried through the entire post and I’m so excited to read these comments………….

Until I realized that every single last comment was spam. Every single one.

I’m going to be honest…I cried. And each spam comment stung a little more. I might be revealing my sensitivity here when I say that I took each one personally. I mean, I work for HOURS and usually get 2-5 comments from a couple people per week!, but over the course of one day my comments section can be FILLED with junk????!!??? So annoying.

Well, that was about 6 months ago, and I finally figured out how to put a spam block on my blog comments. I went back to the boring 1 or 2 comments every few weeks. Until earlier this week. And then suddenly all the spam commenters were back! This time I was still slightly offended, but I took it a little bit better. I decided that there is nothing to do except laugh at it. Hey, I got 70 comments over the weekend! And I decided that I would share with you what I get in the comments section of my blog. Please feel free to laugh along with me. Because really, it’s just ridiculous.

I have not edited this in any way. Just copy/paste.

Ok, then. From cheap baby clothes, to the Middle Ages, to lingerie? I’m not sure I’m tracking with you…

It’s remarkable to visit this website and reading the views of all mates on the
topic of this post, while I am also zealous of getting familiarity.

Why, thank you, mate. The topic of the post was my husband being gone…again, not too sure of the relevance, but I’m glad you find it ‘remarkable’.

My assumption, based on that, was that the tetanus booster did
not include a pertussis.

Hmmmm….not sure where you got that idea from. This post was all about a trip Theo and I took to Niagra Falls. But both Theo and Tera DID get pertussis shots recently…are you following me???!?

You need to take 3 cups of the concoction every day. She had excessive sweating,
running tummy, had shivers during the hot days and were having night sweats during the cold nights.
As far as possible, avoid ad hoc eating habit because it is difficult to control what goes into your
stomach.

What? Why? What is going on? Who is she? What is the concoction? What is an ad hoc eating habit? Really, it’s difficult to control what goes into my stomach?

Your breakfast can be your foundation for your whole
day; so the same as anything else, you start with an undesirable foundation, the structure will never be that great.
The more salt you consume, the more your body retains water to dilute it.
Of course everybody knows that to lose fat quickly you do have
to eat less.

I have nothing to say except, “ARE YOU CALLING ME FAT? TELLING ME I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT????!??”

Well, that escalated quickly.

I had to leave you a real comment after you had to suffer through all of those spam comments!! They were hilarious (as were your responses)!

Haha thank you!!! I love getting real comments. Sometimes I actually enjoy reading through my spam comments. One of my recent ones sounded completely legit, with great grammer…until I saw it was Lief from breastenhancement.com. Thanks, Lief. But no thanks.

I would comment more, but it seems like a lot of times my comments won’t post. These comments are crazy. Most of them seem like they were written in some other language and then done a google translate on them. And if you make the hummingbird solution, make sure your water is four years old. That seems to be an important point!

haha. that’s funny. are you using Akismet? I don’t blog nearly as much as you, but I’ve dabbled with it over the years and Akismet has always worked really well for me.

I do have askimet!I had it working for a while, and I think I just need to update it again in order to block these ridiculous comments. Btw, your comment was one of 168 and I almost marked it as spam until I realized it was a real person! Yay!!! Made my day!
