10 Things on my Amazon Wishlist

I haven’t had much time or mental capacity to write a lot lately. Seasons come and seasons go, and maybe my season for blogging is slowing down for a bit. Anyways, I don’t have many ideas for posts, but I find that these lists are always a hit! People love to see what is on my Amazon wishlist, and I don’t mind sharing one bit!

My strategy for shopping Amazon is to put anything I like onto my wishlist. Then, when we have the Amazon reward points or we have a bit of money left over in our budget, I will choose one or two things to order. Some of the items on my wishlist have been there for YEARS, haha! Most of these items are not items that we need, they are items that we want, and that means that I don’t usually buy them right off the bat. I wait until I know that we truly want them and that we have the money to spend on them.

Anyways, I thought it would be fun to show you all what is on my Amazon wishlist! What is on yours?

We have a road trip coming up, and I wanted to let the kids have a chance to watch some movies while we drive (our van doesn’t have a DVD player), so I stuck this thing on my wishlist for powering the laptop! Yes, please!

You all know I love a good book! I’ve heard this one recommend several times now in dealing with children who have experienced trauma (aka all foster children). I am really fascinated by it, and can’t wait to get my hands on it!

I bought The Care and Keeping of You: The Body Book for Younger Girls, Revised Edition for Heavenly a few months back, and I am SO glad I did. I ordered it and put it on her bed, and a few minutes after she got home from school I found her reading it from cover to cover. Occasionally, she would come out of her room and ask me a question that the book had brought up. There is also a second one (The Care and Keeping of You 2: The Body Book for Older Girls) that I also plan to give to her. This journal is a companion to those books and just allows her to record different thoughts or questions that she may have, take quizzes that help her get to know herself and her personality a little better, and just generally feel more in tune with all.the.changes going on. I cannot recommend this series enough for Mom’s of girls who are getting into that stage of going from girl to woman. Seriously, I HIGHLY recommend. It gives just enough information while still retaining innocence.

Is anybody else ready for their kids to play outside ALL DAY LONG? Just me? Ok, riiiiiight. I want to buy my kids a pool and a playground and a swingset and all.the.things, but I guess I’ll start with this cool chalk. I’m excited because this summer I don’t have any babies and all of my kids will be able to play and use chalk and water tables and such! So excited!

5.

I’m going to go ahead and admit that I’m a pretty bad chalkboard decorator. I’ve convinced myself that ordering these chalk pens will suddenly make me an excellent artist. We are all laughing, I know. But we also have big spring break plans that involve painting an entire chalkboard wall in Heavenly’s room! So these will come in handy then, too.

6.

I realize how old fashioned I am that I want this in my home, but now that Tera doesn’t take naps anymore I’m getting creative with quiet time! She needs something to listen to, but if I put a phone in her room she will just push buttons and take 900 blurry selfies. I want her to be able to listen to audiobooks or just fun CDs during quiet time. I also want to get one for Heavenly so she can get some music. But maybe that is reallllllly old fashioned.

7.

Have you guys seen these scratch off maps??? I am DYING to get two- one for our Airbnb so guests can scratch off where they are coming from, and one for our family to scratch off where we have been. How FUN is that?!? And really fairly affordable!

8.

Have I ever told you guys about my weakness for cookbooks? Well, I have one. It’s a major weakness. I just LOVE cookbooks so much. I got the Pioneer Woman’s other cookbook for Christmas, and we have been loving it! I have my eye on this one next!

9.

I also have a weakness for journaling and paper products, and this is one I’ve been eyeing for awhile! Who doesn’t love lists? And who doesn’t love lists that make them happy?

10.

If you didn’t think I was an old lady with the CD player, this will confirm it. I’ve been eyeing some cross stitch projects for a while now. I think I want to really tune in on making Sundays a sabbath and not have any social media for myself. Instead, I want to spend time reading books or doing cross stitch while listening to music. It sounds so relaxing and wonderful, so why not do it? This lion one would be a fun one to make for Kiah!

So there are 10 things on my wishlist! What is on yours?
