Green Kids Box

Listen, you guys.

You need to know something.

I am passionate about educating children. I am so excited about homeschooling my kids. I am good at all things teaching- reading books, capturing children’s attention, thinking of a new way to teach them, getting stuff done.

But I’m terrible at crafts.

Terrible.

I don’t know why that is- it seems it should just be a matter of looking up a craft, getting out the supplies and then making the craft, right? Well, somehow it never works that way for me.

And then as I was doing my initial research on homeschooling, I discovered that there are craft subscription boxes.

Game. Changer.

Yes, the crafts get sent directly to me- with ALL the supplies, and all I have to do is guide the kiddos through the craft! It takes so much work and stress out of the equation for me!

So today I wanted to introduce you to Green Kid Crafts!

Our box was STUFFED with three activities and ALL the supplies needed for them. When I say all, I mean all- including the scissors and watercolor paints!

So, what is Green Kid Crafts?

  • Subscriptions are available in month-to-month, 3, 6 and 12 month durations, and also make great gifts! Subscriptions start at $17.95 / month, and sibling and book add-on options are also available

We got to crafting right away! Inside the box was three art kits with two activity options each. The instructions were to choose one to use the supplies for, but we found that we had plenty of supplies to do both- so we ended up with six art activities to do together!

There were stamps and watercolors and strings and colored pencils and crayon art and so much more!

I may not be good at crafts, but my kids seem to have inherited an ability to be artistic!

We got the whole family involved in this painted string activity!

It did take us a few days to work through all the crafts, and it was so nice to have on hand for some of these rainy fall days that we have been having! I seriously was so pleasantly surprised that there every single needed supply was included in the box- I didn’t have to ransack my “craft closet” even once!

Green Kid Crafts have so many more than subscription boxes, too. They have boxes for ages 2-4, ages 5-10 (this is the one we got), and ages 10+ (and all the pre-teen Mamas said AMEN!). They have Art Labs, Science Labs, and themed boxes. How cute is this Thanksgiving one?

P.S. This would make a fantastic Christmas gift for kids/cousins/grandkids in your life!

Have you ever received a kids craft subscription box? This was our first time and we LOVED it!
