Just a peek into some of our favorites this past week! Here is a little behind the scenes to how I write this post: I go through my photos from the week and pick a couple that represent something fun or memorable that we’ve done this week. And that’s how this post is made! Ha!
Family Pictures
We got our family pictures back recently and I just keep posting little sneaks of them! I love them all!

You can also see a couple of them in this post 🙂
Cozy Days and Nights
It has been SO COLD for past 10 or so days. Like, highs in the high 20s and a couple nights where we have gone negative degrees with the wind chill. We have had our trusty wood burning stove blazing away, but we have gone through a lot of wood already! We devised a way to stack a bunch of it inside the house so I don’t have to go outside every 2 hours to get more wood. I know my living room isn’t getting any Pinterest awards, but I love how cozy and lived-in it is!

Lectures from Daddy
Do you or your spouse have a tendency to lecture? Haha, in our house it’s Theo. I know that the kids hear maybe 40% of what he says (more as they get older!), but I am hopeful that they WILL hear and WILL learn and I know that they will look back on Theo’s lectures with fondness. For what it’s worth, he always makes them interesting with some story from his childhood or from work.

Orion
Oh my goodness, this kid is BUSY. He went on a nap boycott this week and I’m way more tired than usual because of this. He is growing and learning new things every day, but it makes me tired! He finally fell asleep in the carrier on me. He was thrilled that we got to babysit his BFF Peter this week! He adores Peter with his entire heart and soul.

Homeschool Health Fair
The nursing students at Cedarville University put on a health fair for homeschool students this past week. They had lots of different stations where they talked about different aspects of health in a kid-friendly way. It was a great way to spend a morning! I love when bigger students can practice their skills on smaller students and it’s a win-win all around! On our way back, we stopped at the Cedarville waterfall for our Wednesday hike. It was 40 degrees but felt like 19, so we literally walked from the parking lot to the waterfall and then back to the parking lot. It was a lame “hike”, but at least we got out there!

5th Grade Parade
Tera had an assignment where she had to design a float that reflects something that she loves. She put so much time into this, and I think it turned out so well! Can you tell what some of her interests are?

Athletes in Action Homeschool Day
Half the time, I don’t feel like we even qualify as homeschoolers, but then twice in one week we have participated in homeschool events! Haha. Today I am camped out at the Athletes in Action facility and my three bigs are doing all sorts of athletic things on the sports courts. Ori is destroying the hallway as we wait 🙂 I was supposed to go and rake my parents yard for them but when I drove over to their house, I found the tree still completely in leaf. This tree completely missed the fall memo and apparently is also missing the winter memo (remember that our weather hasn’t gone above freezing for over 10 days now haha)
