Links I’m Loving

Since I kind of dropped off the face of earth these last few months, I wanted to take a few minutes to share some links around the web that you must know about. Trivial, yes? But totally worth it for you to check out, trust me!

First up, a few weeks back I had the privilege of being featured on The Archibald Project. If you are not familiar with The Archibald Project, they are a storytelling ministry that uses photography and videography to educate and help with the worldwide orphan crisis. One of the things that I have come to love about The Archibald Project is that they don’t just come in, play the white savior and leave again. They are on the ground, helping with long-term orphan care. They believe that the best place for a child to be is within the folds of their own biological family, and if that cannot happen, then they need to find a safe and stable home (this does always means a home in a Western context, btw). I absolutely love their mission and get choked up every time I come across a photo or a video on their feed. During the month of May, they turned their focus towards Foster Care here in the United States and interviewed and featured several foster families on their site. Somehow I was chosen to be one of them!

Next, I HAVE to share these tops with you ladies. On a whim, I ordered a few maternity tops on Amazon, and these are a huge hit. I LOVE them. They work for a regular non-maternity shirt, they work for pregnancy (although probably not when I’m at my hugest), they will for sure look flattering postpartum AND they have a secret flap for nursing. I mean…can a shirt be any more perfect for a Mom? Our bodies go through so much in the year or so surrounding a pregnancy, and to have one shirt that works for all? I’m seriously sold. (This company has no idea who I am, I ordered these myself and love them). I will say that I would never normally pay $40 for three shirts, but these are worth the money. So comfy!
