Friday Review (The Double Edition)

It’s Friday already and April is flying by! It has been weeks since I have been able to sit down and write a timely Friday review, so this is going to be a double edition! April and May are always busier than December for us, so we’ve basically just been flying through this last quarter of the school year!

Here is what we have been doing lately, with one picture from each day.

Monday, April 1

I tried to pull some April fools pranks on the kids by putting hot dogs in their shoes and buckling Orion into the front seat instead of his carseat. They thought it was all pretty funny!

Tuesday, April 2nd

This was our first day back to school after Spring Break, and the weather people predicted MASSIVE storms for our area that day. Everyone was really on edge, and they even debated delaying or closing school. And in the end….it rained a bit.

Wednesday, April 3rd

I love seeing my boys play games together!

Thursday, April 4th

Our first rental property went up for sale! We are already under contract – yay!

Friday, April 5th

This day was exciting because Grandpa and Grandma came to visit! We went out to eat at Old Scratch – always such a treat when Grandpa and Grandma are in town! We also had lots of help setting up their bed.

Saturday, April 6th

We PACKED this day full of as much fun as possible! I got to go for a long run with some friends, we went for a hike, we had a picnic, we played mini golf, and we got ice cream! I think I had 19,000 steps at the end of the day!

Sunday, April 7th

Grandpa and Grandma left, Theo was back at work and the kids and I were TIRED! We still managed to have a full day of church, lunch at Pepaw’s house, a quick grocery store run, and then off to small group in the evening! There was also some bunny cuddles somewhere in there!

Monday, April 8th

We were in totality for the solar eclipse and it was INCREDIBLE. There will be a whole blog post coming about that experience!

Tuesday, April 9th

Tera did her country presentation in class! Any guesses what country she picked?

Wednesday, April 10th

Wednesday was a major catch-up day since we had been so busy over the weekend and eclipse day! We ran a bunch of errands, had a meeting at school, and I took Tera on a date to get hot chocolate and to our favorite place- the library!

Thursday, April 11th

This was a special day for our school because they had a 10th anniversary celebration. It’s hard to believe that our school has been around for 10 years, and that we have been a part of it for five years!

And that is a wrap on the last two weeks of our lives! Today I have staff meeting and then this weekend Theo and I get to head out of town for a marriage conference! I’m trying to make sure I have all the things necessary for other people to take care of my kids so that I can relax and just enjoy the weekend. It’s hard to believe that we only have 6 weeks of school left before summer break is upon us! I love this time of the year and how breathless it leaves me, but I’m also looking forward to endless summer days at home.

Linking up with Friday Favorites because reflecting on all the fun we are having truly is a favorite!

Yay for you that the house is already under contract. That’s wonderful. It sounds like a busy but fun few weeks.
