Friday Review II

Well, I can conclude two things after looking back at our week in review:

  1. This week was really busy with quite a few extra events on the calendar that we don’t usually have!
  2. I am really bad at taking pictures of normal, everyday life. I would really like to work on that!

Friday– Our first day back of homeschooling! It went well. We had definitely hit a wall before Christmas break so we were a little nervous to get out the books and pencils. But I think we were ready, and we managed it without any meltdowns!

Saturday– We woke up to some snow, but Tera’s basketball game was still on! She played her heart out, but they did not win. Kiah got to go on a date with Memaw and Pepaw and Tera got invited out to decorate for a baby shower, Ori took a nap…and Ezra and I had some one on one time! It was so special!

Sunday- We went to church and then headed over to celebrate Dan and Corinne and their baby boy! This shower was a BLAST. So much fun. It was a really small “couples shower” with guys and girls (and kids) in attendance. We played some hilarious games and had lots of laughs.

Monday- I had a frustrating day at home. Ori is in the stage where he is making a huge mess if he’s awake. It’s really hard for me to get anything done! In the evening Kiah had his first basketball game and it was A BLAST!

Tuesday- oops I forgot to take any pictures! So instead, I’ll recommend a product that we are loving lately – diamond art. All three of my kids are SUPER into it right now. I found these diamond art stickers on Amazon and it has been a huge hit around here. I also got some coasters for Christmas and we are working on a big picture.

Wednesday- Well, the homework meltdowns have returned. This was a ROUGH schooling day all around. But we did get through and also managed to run quite a few errands- grocery store, library, Rural King for animal feed and then I went to church for a woman’s conference in the evening.

Thursday- We had a FULL day of school. I taught all day, came home and made dinner and then headed back to school to be a part of an “open house”, where prospective families and come and check out our school. Because our hybrid school is such a unique model, there are always LOTS of questions! I also took zero pictures!

Friday- I started the day early, but not as early as Theo! He went to work at 12 midnight, and worked straight through until 5pm. I got up around 6 and got the kids up and out the door because 2nd Friday of every month is staff meeting. The sunrise was STUNNING, which goes well with the adage “red sky in the morning, sailor take warning because the weather for the rest of the day has been yucky and rainy and so, so dark! I joked that we should for sure just live at school this week because there has been a lot of things happening at school!

Linking up with Friday Favorites since honestly sometimes normal life is just my favorite 🙂
