Happy Friday! This week has been a doozy, let me tell ya.
Last week we were just blissfully enjoying Spring Break (we had THE BEST break), and then Monday hit us like a runaway truck and all the wheels fell right off. We did still manage to have some favorite moments this week, though!!
Favorite 1: Orion is TWO!
How wild, right? How can my baby be two? It feels like he was just born. I mentioned this on my Instagram, but I wish that I had the mental capacity and motherhood maturity when I was a first time Mom that I have now. But at the same time, I’m pretty sure it’s the very process of mothering for 10+ years that has given me the mental capacity and motherhood maturity that I have now. Needless to say, I’ve enjoyed Ori’s baby years more than I enjoyed all of my others combined.

Favorite 2: Babies on the Homestead!
It’s Spring! You know what this means- babies! Babies everywhere! We got three baby pigs last week, 16 baby chicks, and the bunny Mama’s are looking plump and due on March 31st! The egg incubator is running and the chicks are due to hatch on the 25th!

Favorite 3: Family Hike
Well, it’s not Red River Gorge, but we did get in a hike this week! It was windy but warm, and as we hiked we pointed out all the signs of Spring! If you haven’t been outside recently- there is a lot of signs that Spring is right on our doorstep. That was a long, cold winter with a lot of freezing, snowy hikes and I’m so thankful for warm and breezy hikes spotting flowers and all the green growing.

Favorite 4: Theo’s Birthday Pizza Party
Theo celebrated his birthday on Wednesday, and we had a pizza party! I told everyone to bring a pizza- they could be creative or just order takeout. The pizza’s were AMAZING and we had so much food for everyone! It was the easiest party and the weather was perfect for our first bonfire of the season.

Favorite 5: Flat Kiah Project
Kiah is working on a project for school where he has to photograph “Flat Kiah” traveling different places. We had so much fun taking some silly pictures, like Kiah and Flat Kiah at church, with the pigs, and on some of our hikes in RRG!

Bonus: Evening Light and this sweet family of mine

And that’s all for this chilly Spring Friday! I hope you have had a wonderful week, and that if it hasn’t been great, you are able to find some favorites.
