Linking up with Friday Favorites
Happy Friday! I see a 70+ in the forecast for today and I’m so thrilled!! We had beautiful weather during our Spring Break, and then it’s either been cold or rainy since then.
I have some FUN favorites today!
Favorite 1: CHICKS!
This week the chicks in our incubator hatched! Chicks take 21 days to hatch, so I made sure to start the incubator so that 21 days later would be a school day. And my whole class- all 18 students- got to watch one of the chicks hatch! It was a MAGICAL moment (as long as you ignored all the “I CAN’T SEE MOVE YOUR HEAD” comments haha). Of course, I wore my chicken earrings and of course we also barely got our work done that day because we were so distracted by the sweet little fluff balls.
Favorite #2: Sunrise, Sunset
We have had some stunning sunrises and sunsets this week! You know they say “red sky in the morning, sailor take warning. Red sky at night, sailors delight”, but what do we do when there is a red sky both in the morning and at night?
Favorite #3: Glasses
Somebody got glasses! So far, Theo’s eye genetics have passed on to two of our kids. Theo got glasses in the 5th grade. I’ve never had glasses and I’m almost 34 years old. Ezra got glasses when he was 5, and now Tera just got them at 10 years old. But, honestly- she looks adorable!
Favorite #4: Family Hike
Our family hike this week was to Ault Park in Cincinnati. They have a grove of cherry trees that are just about to blossom. It was a beautiful park, but the trees weren’t in full bloom yet. We still found a great hiking trail and got some fun pictures!
Favorite #5: Portrait Mode
I had an iPhone 6 up until last year, but I always wished I could take better pictures! So Theo got me an updated iPhone and I absolutely love the portrait mode!
