September has been such a fun month for our family! We have had a lot of favorites this week, although I’m not always great about taking pictures. Here is some favorites lately!
- Flower Party
I forgot to post about this during the last couple Friday Favorites, but before we left for Labor Day weekend I hosted a flower arranging party. My friend also grows incredible flowers in her yard and she brought hundreds of gorgeous zinnias to add to my sunflowers. She also taught us all how to arrange the flowers. It was just the most glorious evening!

2. Kittens! These kittens are stinky, smelly and a lot of work- but they sure are cute! And kitten cuddles are soul-filling. But if you are local- these babies are ready for new homes!

3. Cross Country. The three big kids ran in their first cross country meet! They all killed it- it was SO fun to watch! Tera finished her mile in 8:30, Kiah finished his mile in 8:11 and Ezra ran 1k in 6:16. We had some friends over for dinner and they were also there to cheer all the kids on.

4. Nails- Last week, a sweet 7th grader at our school offered to do my nails for me. I seriously felt like a queen. She brought her whole gel kit to my classroom and chatted with me while painting my nails. And, my nails look AMAZING!

5. This cutie. The big kids kind of run our schedule these days- between our homeschool days, tutoring, sports practice, working at concessions/games- so this little guy is often just along for the ride. He sure does keep us all smiling and laughing, though!

6. Spirit Week- On Tuesday at school we had rhyme without reason day. At first this seemed like a really hard thing to dress as, but we pulled through with some creativity!
For the record- Ezra and Kiah are lamp//champ, and the three first grade teachers are bat//cat//hat

7. Hike! We finally got to go for a family hike on Sunday. It was beautiful and so refreshing.

That’s all for now! I hope that you have a wonderful weekend! We have some fun plans tonight and tomorrow, and then hopefully a chill day on Sunday!

Aw, I love your nails and hearing the story behind it. How sweet! I love the idea of a flower arranging party too. That sounds like so much fun. I am not very good at arranging flowers– it is one of those arts that just seems to allude me. Now give me fake or dried flowers, a wreath base and some glue sticks and I am good to go.
Those cross country times are good! They´ĺl only get faster if they keep at it. i really want one of those kittens but I´m not sure if it will work out. We have some with allergies in the household. (Or who are at least sometimes in the household.) They are adorable, though. Looks like lots of good times in your neck of the woods.
