Five Things In My Amazon Cart

I don’t know about you, but I’m nosy. I love to see what types of household goods people are bringing into their homes.

I thought it would be fun this morning to share five things that I currently have in my Amazon cart.

Theo and I are working on a new and updated budget for our family, and this means making some wise decisions on the things we buy. For that reason, these things are sitting in my Amazon cart until I know that we have enough money in that category to actually spend on the items.

Side note (as Suzanne climbs on her soapbox): I would be more than happy if my blog gave you some fantastic ideas of things to buy for your own home, but please don’t spend money if you don’t have it. (Suzanne climbs off her soapbox)

  1. Jewelry Tree Organizer

My jewelry is a mess hanging in my bathroom. We want to redo our bathroom anyways, but then I have noticed that my jewelry is getting really tarnished from all the shower steam. I need to move it to my bedroom, but I don’t have any wall space in there, so I need something that will hold all my jewelry without taking up a ton of space.

2. Henna Deluxe Set

I don’t know about you all, but growing up in Africa we used henna ALL.THE.TIME. It was so fun to have designs on our hands and feet. Heavenly has a friend at school who had henna and has wanted to try it ever since. This would make such a fun sleepover/girls night!

3. Solar Path Lights

Now that we run an Airbnb, we have a lot more traffic in and out of our driveway and up and down our steps. Some of our guests enjoy staying out very late and it’s pretty annoying to leave on all our outside lights. I think these would just be so much easier! Anyone have them?

4. Baby Noise Cancelling Headphones

I’ve had these in my cart since last summer, but I need to bite the bullet and get them for this upcoming summer. We need them all the time in the summer- sports games, fireworks, the demo derby at the fair. Sometimes we just take Theo’s adult sized one for the kids, but these would get their money’s worth!

5. Alarm Clock

I’ve been meaning to get myself an alarm clock for years so I can leave my phone in another room at night. I never broke the phone at night habit because Theo has always worked some form of night shift our entire marriage (and I needed my phone in case something happened)! Now that he is always at home at night, I’m going to get this alarm clock and not have my phone in my bedroom at all.

Now hows that for a totally random assortment of stuff in my Amazon cart? What’s in your cart or on your wishlist?

I don’t usually keep things in my cart, but I have Amazon wish lists where I stash ideas until I figure the money out. I almost never let myself buy something on impulse – I put it on the list and then think about it. Every month or so I go through and buy some things, delete some, and leave others for later.

Sample of my list right now:
    1. 30 & 15 min Sandglasses for timing piano practice.
    2. Various homeschool books and resources. I’m not quite finished buying next year’s curriculum, but by April I’ll know what I have to spend on extras.
    3. A small backpack for Gareth to carry – for example, to church. Could hold a change of clothes, crayons, etc.
    4. A memory game featuring songbird pairs.
    5. Easter dresses!
