March Wrap-Up

What a month, March! I cannot believe that March is already almost over. After last month’s post and realizing that I took approximately ten pictures all month, I really stepped up my picture game this month!

We started out March with some beautiful weather and spent the day at the park, where Heavenly and her friend practiced their instruments in an amphitheater. They loved it and we even had some people from the playground come and sit down to listen.

Three months into the year and I feel like I finally have a bit of a hang of Theo’s schedule. I have not fully adjusted yet, but at least now I know what to expect and what days are hardest for me (Sunday. Sunday is the hardest for me). Some Sunday nights I just need to send the kids to bed and curl up on the couch with my tea and a good book, to celebrate making it through a 45 hour work week in just four days.

Speaking of work week, a friend tipped me off to this AMAZING app that has helped me so much as a police wife. It’s called Life 360, and we can input any family members who have smart phones. The app shows me where Theo is, how much battery he has left, where he has been, how long he has been there and how fast he drove to get there. It’s been really helpful for me to see where he is so I can vet out whether or not he is on a call that the news is reporting, or if he is on his way home.

I’ve been Spring cleaning a bit, too, but I mostly just like to Spring purge! Ha! I’m contemplating getting rid of all my kids toys because they never play with them, just throw them across the floor and then play with all my kitchen stuff, which also gets thrown across the floor. I’m not going to rid the house of toys in a fit of rage, but I really don’t think my kids need everything that they have.

This punk is finding himself in a lot of trouble recently. This was a team effort of Heavenly leaving the chips out, Kiah discovering the chips and dumping them out, and Tera “helping” to “clean” the chips.

Most of March was just cold and dreary and we needed some brightness in our home, so we made rainbows!

Another Aldi trip in the books!

Tera fell and smashed her face into the corner of the wall. I saw the entire fall and I immediately thought we would be in the hospital for stitches…but she picked herself up and that was that. Just a small bruise and some tears.

Kiah was not a fan of riding this horse saddle.

Tera, on the other hand, was!

Love my sweet boy playing on the floor. I just absolutely love this stage!

Aaaaand…more snow.

Theo and I have been really interested in buying a piece of land and living on it instead of in our suburban neighborhood. We’ve looked at a few places, but we have decided to just stay put for now. It’s still a dream for our future and one day we will make it happen!

Ohio winters make everything so dreary and brown. Yuck.

We celebrated Theo’s birthday by going out to dinner: Five Guys! Unfortunately, our kids attention spans are low and the whine-o-meters are high, so we never last long while out for dinner!

Tera was in the bath and lined up four little yellow ducks, pointing them out as Daddy, Mommy, Tera and Kiah. She then pulled out the pink fish and said it was Heavenly, then added the other two pink figures as Heavenly’s Mom and Dad. How sweet, y’all. How sweet.

Aaaaannnnnd…….more snow.

Which means lots of inside activities with the goobers! We are so tired of being stuck inside!

Winter or Spring?

A few days later, the snow had melted (hopefully for good!) and we were able to spend time outside! So that’s pretty much what we have done for the last few days.

And that is a wrap on March! Nothing too exciting, but a lot of weather ups and downs and just pushing through the last step of winter to finally reach Spring!
