Tera + Kiah + Ezra

One of my favorite life moments is when my kids get to meet their new sibling for the first time. Their eyes are full of wonder and delight and they love everything about their new sibling. I’m so thankful that I have these pictures, even if half of them are blurry. I don’t mind one bit!

Ezra was born at 1:32pm, and the kids came by later that evening. I really wanted Tera and Kiah to meet Ezra before we told anyone else about his birth. A wonderful family from our church took care of Tera and Kiah while we were in the hospital, and they drove the kids all the way downtown just so they could meet baby Ezra. They were so excited to run into the room…Tera understood she was there to meet baby Ezra, and Kiah was mostly excited to see me until he spotted baby Ezra! Then they were both SUPER excited about baby Ezra…until they spotted the chips I had leftover from my lunch. LOL.

The kids burst in the door and went to either side of me. They were both smiling from ear to ear and SO, SO excited.

They jumped up onto the bed with their jackets and shoes still on and they both wanted to hold Ezra immediately.

Can’t believe she is a big sister twice over! She was born in this exact same room four years ago.

It’s always an adjustment to add a new person to the family, but I’d say my kids are doing pretty well. Kiah seems to actually be adjusting better than Tera, which really surprised me! He has always been pretty go with the flow and responds whenever Ezra has a need. He also likes to share toys and explore eyeballs so life it’s always an adventure around here.

THREE. Three Hines children. I am abundantly blessed.
