Believe it or not, I did not fall off the face of the earth…

….just off the face of the internet!

This may be the longest I have unintentionally gone without blogging. Why? Well, let’s see. Lots of things. For one, I am fully aware that blogging on a REAL blog is so outdated, it’s not even funny. Another reason is my utter lack of self-confidence and no idea what I would even write about. I have felt the deep heaviness that comes with feeling like I am unable to do anything right in an online space, no matter which way I look at it. Sigh. I know that is not a problem unique just to me, but it has been a problem that I have wrestled through in these past few covid months.

Speaking of. I think I mentioned in my last blog post that Theo and I did come down with Covid at the end of April. Thankfully, we were sick for a solid 10 days but were able to recover without too much hardship. The kids never got it, and my parents who were highly exposed to me, also never got it. However, it is true what they say: the symptoms seem to last and linger for a long time. After recovering from Covid, we both went immediately back to work and as a teacher the month of May is already CRAZY-TOWN so being just a few days post-covid was not an ideal health situation for me. That last month of school really took it out of me! On top of that, we also had my 30th birthday and our 9th wedding anniversary during the last week of school.

On the very last day of school, we closed on our 4th rental property. This is exciting and brought some big changes into our lives…we decided to not only buy it, but to move into it as well! And not only move into, but renovate nearly the entire thing! Theo took a week off of work had a friend come and stay and we spent 10+ hour days tearing out old carpeting, painting every single wall, and then installing new flooring. We moved in even though we still have some flooring and final pieces of trim to re-install.

Here is a nice before and after for you! Hard to believe it is even the same room, huh?

So, believe it or not…I have not dropped off the face of the earth. I would like to be able to come back to blogging, but I figured a little post bookmarking where I have been these past few weeks will be helpful to others and to me when I look back through my blog archives!

I’ll be back! I have so many recaps and reviews and helpful links to share with you!

Hey! I’m so glad to see you pop up here today! I was literally just (about 30 minutes ago) thinking of you and wondering if you ever got your sense of smell back! I was also thinking about you moving to the new house and hoping that went well. I miss seeing your face on Imstagram!

So sweet of you to be thinking of me! I still can’t smell! I’m about 8 weeks out and it has come back some, but not all the way. So, so strange!
