Book Stats

I saw this fun post idea going around some book bloggers that I follow, so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon!

Why Motherhood Matters

A Walk in the Woods

Spoiler or Spoiler Free? I generally try to stay pretty spoiler free, but I also don’t find a book ruined if I find out the ending. I still enjoy the whole process of reading the book.

How Long Have You Been Book Blogging?

Eh. I’ve been talking about books on my blog for a couple years now- maybe 5 years? But it’s only the occasional monthly book post.

A Book You Read in One Sitting

I’m a Mom, so basically nothing happens in one sitting. LOL. But some books I have been completely unable to put down are Clap When You Land, Baby Catcher, Mom Enough, One True Loves, The Lost Girls, 12 Ways Your Phone is Changing You and Educated.

Preferred Book Size:

I do not like short stories, so I need my books to be between 200-500 pages. Anything after that feels like a challenge that I am only willing to tackle once every couple of months.

Amount of Books On Your TBR:

BAHAHA. I have a word document TBR that is 35 pages long- two columns. So I have no idea how many books that it, but basically it’s enough to know I’m never going to get through it in my lifetime. Especially since I add way more books to it each month than I take off of it.

A Book You DNF’d

Honestly, The Vanishing Half. I didn’t love the writing, nor did I feel connected to the characters. I felt like I was supposed to be feeling some way but I didn’t it and it was frustrating me, so I DNF’d. I did go back a few months later and read it through again, but I still didn’t love it.

Recent Awards or Milestones:

I mean…I published my own book earlier this year. I guess that’s an accomplishment!

Best Interaction with an Author You Enjoy:

I’m terrible at connecting with the author’s of books, so I don’t think I have anything for this category.

Average Number of Books you Read Each Month:

6 books or so.

Top 3 Publishers:

This was a question I hadn’t really thought about! I also don’t check the publishers of my books, but now I want to start keeping track to see if there is a trend.

Social Media Sites Your Blog Uses

You can find me on Facebook and Instagram (book account and personal account)

Average Amount of Time You Spend Networking

Honestly, not much. I tend to hop on and post my blogs/social media and then wait for people to come to me. Is this working? Nope. But do I have the time and energy to go out and make this a job? Also nope. So I will just sit here and not feel guilty about not spending time on that.

Most Comfortable Blogging Position

It does not matter, but I love it when it is quiet. So, that typically means early morning in my bed. I also blog at the table, the counter and from the couch.

Music or Quiet When Reading Books

Quiet. Mostly because I’m reading in bed and my husband is sleeping next to me.

Can You Sum Up Your Blogging Style in 5 Words?

Eclectic. Random. Personal. Stress-Relief. Long-standing.

Best Book You Reviewed So far:

HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO PICK JUST ONE? There are so many! So the best book I’ve read/reviewed in the past few months is Well Watered Women. Just so good, guys.

Best Piece of Blogging Advice?

I think I would tell myself to stop trying to make money from it and just let it be a hobby. It’s ok if I don’t become “professional” at blogging. It’s ok if I never make a cent. Just do it because I enjoy it and take all that external pressure off yourself. Also, stop looking at views and comments. Just keep carrying on.

Thanks Kristin Kraves Books for the fun prompt!
