Happy Friday! Honestly, the day of the week currently means nothing. Theo is off work on paternity leave and the kids are officially on Spring break, but have been home from school sick for the entire pas week, so all the days kind of blend together. But I have so many favorites to be thankful for!!!
- Daddy/Daughter Dance
This happened way back in February, but I’m just now getting around to documenting it! Both Tera and Theo said they had a blast, and for that I am thankful!
2. Lost Teeth!
Kiah lost his tooth this week- I believe this is his third one. Two days later, Tera lost a tooth, too! The tooth fairy has been busy at our house!
3. Meal Train
Man, I am so thankful for the meal train that our church has provided for us. While Orion has been such a great baby, it has been difficult having sick big kids and a newborn. Sleep has been….minimal. So having someone bring dinner once or twice a week has been incredible!
4. Newborn snuggles
I mean, how could this not be a favorite?!? There is nothing else like it!
5. Jeff Woodke’s release
Last week, my Mom texted me to tell me that Jeff Woodke had been released from captivity. He is a missionary/aid worker in Niger, where I grew up. I went to junior high with his sons so had a personal connection with him/his family. In Oct 2016, he was kidnapped at gunpoint and has been held in captivity (by an extremist terrorist group) for SIX AND A HALF YEARS. Six and a half years!!! I cannot even imagine (did he even know about the pandemic?). Well, on March 20th- he was released! I haven’t heard any more details on how he is doing, but this is something that we have prayed for for a long, long time. Just look at his wife’s smile in this photo!
