Many weeks ago, some fellow bloggers did a fun link up sharing what is in their medicine cabinets. Ya’ll, I was pretty surprised because it seems like most people don’t have much in their cabinets? Maybe it’s because of how I was raised (in the middle of nowhere third world country), but I am used to having everything “just in case”. And even with that mindset, I don’t feel like we have THAT much. But the other bloggers were like “Here is my sunscreen and a pack of bandaids”. WHAT? Where is the ibuprofen and the meds for barfing and the snot sucker and the meds for allergies and all the lids that measure the medication and all the natural remedies to tackle those issues without meds?
I’ll tell you where all that stuff is…it’s in my medicine cabinet! Ha!
So here is my cabinet. I have towels, sheets, medicines and toiletries in here.

On the medicine shelf, I have one corner that has toiletries- nail polish, foot masks, soap, hair dye, q-tips, extra toothbrushes, etc.

And the other side has five un-fancy bins that I keep all meds in.
Bin 1- Essential Oils

Bin 2- Kid’s meds

Bin 3- General first aid

Bin 4- Adult medications

Bin 6 is our “asthma go bag”. In this bin, I keep all the things that we need when Ezra has an asthma episode. It is SO helpful to be able to grab this and have everything we need. It includes his inhaler + spacer, a stethoscope (to listen to his lungs), Vicks, Breathe essential oils, cough/cold medicine, a pulse ox, and his nebulizer meds. We don’t always need to use everything in the bin, but we have used all of these things at one time or another when he’s having a flare-up.

Behind the bins I have a few items that don’t fit well in bins – bandaids (that my kids are pulling out 19x a day), COVID tests, the Neti Pot, blood pressure cuff, and the large bottles of hydrogen peroxide.

Do I use items from this cabinet everyday? Nope! Well, maybe the bandaids…but otherwise we need to use these things once every few weeks. I do find it helpful to have these things on hand instead of needing to run to the store, though!
So what about you? What do you have in your medicine cabinet? Do you stock up or just keep bandaids around?

We have a kitchen sink in ours! (Just kidding). But there is a little tub with hair cutting supplies. Some day I might do a post about how much money we save by doing haircuts at home for 40+ years.
