Jeff + Maria Wedding

At one point in my life, I would recap individual events…..AS THEY HAPPENED.

Now, I’m about 4 months behind on recapping any single event and I don’t even know what day of the week it is currently!

But since I have a few moments to sit down and blog, I’m going to pick up where I left off with my last bit of blogging and go all the way back to the end of July/beginning of August!

At the end of our Hines Family Reunion, we had a second big event on Sunday morning- the wedding of Jeff and Maria. Jeff and Theo grew up together and Jeff and his wife picked the lake cabin Up North as their wedding spot. Since the whole family was already going to be up there for the reunion, the wedding was tacked onto the end of the family reunion weekend!

Theo left the reunion on Saturday afternoon to go spend time with the bachelor party. He stayed over on Saturday night. Sunday morning I woke up at the family reunion Airbnb, got everything packed and loaded up, and headed over to the lakeside cabin to start getting ready for the wedding! Shortly after the groom and groomsmen showed up to start setting up. It was all hands on deck before the 1pm ceremony!

Since Theo was the best man, and my father in law was the officiant, the kids and I tried to be helpful wherever we could! We ended up being parking attendants and golf cart driver(s).

We all got dressed real quick and headed down to the lake for the beautiful wedding ceremony! It was a private and intimate celebration and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful day!

After the ceremony there was time for lots of pictures, some time to hang out with old friends that we hadn’t seen in a long time and getting everything loaded up to head to the reception that was an hour away at Theo/Jeff’s childhood church/school.

The reception was a simple and sweet dessert reception, so we grabbed some Wendy’s on the way. We arrived at the reception and let the kids hang out and eat some dessert before my mother in law graciously took them all back to her house so that Theo and I could enjoy the reception.

We enjoyed several hours of catching up with old friends, listening to the speeches, watching the first dance, enjoying the cake cutting and eating a bunch of dessert! What a wonderful night! We went and grabbed the kids from my in-laws house and then hit the road for Ohio, arriving back home around 1am.

Congratulations to Jeff and Maria!
