If you read my little update earlier this week, you probably already know most of what I am going to cover in this post! We have had so much fun and excitement these past few weeks, and now we are on the summer downhill to back to school season! I start back as a teacher officially on Aug 6, but I also need to get my classroom prepped and set up by Aug 9, so I’m hoping to be spending lots of smaller chunks of time getting all my teacher ducks in a row before Aug 6th! Phew, that seems like it is just around the corner!
Friday Favorites #1: Family
We just got back from our annual Hines Family Reunion in Northern MI. The weather was beautiful, and the whole family was in attendance! There is no shortage of cousins, conversations and just being together!

Favorite #2: Flowers
Have I mentioned that my sunflower field is BLOOMING?!?! It is literally breathtaking- I have no other words for it. I haven’t cried yet, but I probably will. I have always loved sunflowers and watching this field grow this summer has been a highlight for me. And now- blooms. Stunning, gorgeous blooms. I’m in awe.
Favorite #3: Fluffy Bunnies!
Our Mama bunny had ELEVEN babies- and so far they have all survived! When they are born, they tend to be very ugly, and within about a week they start to fluff up and are just THE CUTEST. I wish they stayed like this forever!
Favorite #4: Fifty Years
My in-laws are celebrating 50 years of marriage this summer. FIFTY YEARS. I just can’t get over how remarkable that is. I remember when my grandparents celebrated 50 years, it does not seem possible that the generation before me is already hitting this milestone. I also am just so amazed at the fact that I know it’s been 50 years of choosing one another and choosing marriage over all else. Marriage isn’t always easy, and 50 years is such a testament of love and selflessness, along with all the joys and the highs and memories made along the way!
Favorite #5: Family Photos
We had some family photos taken around our property this week and I am in LOVE! These are just the sneak peeks, but it captures our family so accurately I know that I will cherish these forever.

Those are some lovely family photos! I remember attending my grandparent’s 50th too. I was in 8th grade at the time. That s a huge milestone!
