How’s everyone doing? Does anyone know what day it is? Haha. This week between Christmas and New Year’s always feels so strange to me! It also seems like the slowest week ever.
Today I’m recapping my top 10 fiction books of 2024! I always find it harder to rate fiction books than non-fiction books. I think because for fiction books, it often has a target audience (and I find it easy to recommend to people in that audience), whereas with fiction, it can be so subjective! I also find myself forgetting a lot of the fiction books that I read. Some of the books on this list I could not tell you a single detail about…yikes!
This year I read 108 books, with 63 of those being fiction books. As I look back on the year, I once again would like to read more better books. I need to get better at DNFing books that aren’t working for me instead of pushing through. I also would like to read at least 6 of the Newberry Medal books in 2025, instead of the measly 3 I read this year.

So, what about you? Did we read any of the same books? Did we love any of the same books? Or did you hate a book that I loved? I’d love to hear from you!

I see lots of my favorites in your favorite list too! I am starting to get pretty ruthless about DNF books since I always have such a huge pile waiting for me.
