Each week, I look for “mundane glories”- those little moments that if I blink, I would miss them. But if I really choose to look for them, I can see that it is these little moments that make up the life that we are living.
We had an epic weekend last weekend, and then this week has been a bit tough, with Theo out of town and a wicked heat wave rolling through. We lost a rabbit from the heat and we got some tough news about one of our kids not making it on a sports team. But we also had some really abundant blessings- like someone gifting us a pool, getting to makeover Theo’s new office as a surprise while he is gone, and Theo had a great time at the conference that he attended!
- Annual Backpacking Trip- Theo took all four kids on their annual backpacking trip! Yep, they all carried a backpack and they did hike in, then camp at the campsite, and then hike back out. They made some great memories and had some great fun!

2. Mini Reading Retreat- I stayed home from the backpacking trip and had a little “reading retreat”. I’ll write a whole blog post on that and it will publish next week!

3. Dayton Air Show- We got VIP friends and family tickets to the Dayton Air Show because my Mom’s cousin’s son is the team doctor for the Thunderbirds. We got to go to a special section for Thunderbirds friends and family, they provided lunch and drinks, some shade, and literal FRONT ROW seats to the Air Show. It was HOT, but so much fun!

4. The Lebanon Garden Tour- it’s my favorite weekend of the year to be an old lady! Our local town puts on a garden tour where you can drive from place to place and check out these amazing backyard gardens. There were five gardens this year and they were all incredible!

5. A POOL!
Someone gave us a pool! We have talked about having one, but have always balked at the price and safety risks. But when we were offered a free one, we said yes and are tackling the safety risks!

6. Ikea- The kids and I spent some time at Ikea looking for some things to help improve Theo’s new office. We then spent a considerable amount of time putting together the things that will improve his office. Haha.

The rest of our week has been pretty low key, with the kids having a sleepover at their Grandparents and LOTS of pool time when they are home. They are so splashy, so I’ve taken almost no pictures!
Hope you all are having a wonderful week and looking forward to a beautiful summer weekend!
