Gender Reveal #3

I know you all have been DYING to know what we are having, so here is a little post with our fun gender reveal!

At our ultrasound, we asked the tech to just write the gender and put it in an envelope…we kept that envelope sealed for over a week so that we could celebrate the gender reveal with some of our family. My parents will not be able to be here in November for the arrival of this little one, so we really wanted to do something special for and with them in regards to this pregnancy.

Theo is not a huge fan of gender reveals, but I knew if I involved something with shooting he would be game. I ordered these powder balls from Poof There It Is. I ordered the items at around 12:30pm on a Monday and they had shipped to us by 2pm, arriving just two days later on that Wednesday. I was impressed! I ended up just ordering a blue one and a pink one and having my sister in law peek into the envelope right before we did the reveal. She then gave Theo the correct poof and he hung it up as his target!

While Theo and Ethan were hanging it up, the kids were playing with the whole slew of kittens that have been born on the property recently. I mean….HOW CUTE IS THIS? Thank God I’m having another baby so these stage won’t be passing by anytime soon!

We were reviewing with Tera what a blue poof meant and what a pink poof meant. And now on to the reveal…

Pre-shot jitters! At this point we literally didn’t have a clue which gender the baby would be!

Ready….Aim…

FIRE! Theo thought we were all ready, but we weren’t quite all ready, so we all jumped and that is why this picture is blurry!

I actually completely MISSED the explosion! I was taking a picture and then I turned to run away right when Theo shot and I turned around to see the BLUE!!!

IT’S A BOY!!!!!

Totally and completely surprised!

I’m so thankful for my sister in laws who are so willing to host my crazy ideas for gender reveal parties. When we did Kiah’s gender reveal, we were at my other sister in law’s house in Tennessee!

And I’m SO GLAD my parents were able to be here for this fun night!

As far as the gender reveal poppers, those were FUN! I highly recommend them…the explosion was great and made it such a fun reveal!
