Favorite Moment: Watching Theo and Tera make this Valentine box together was a highlight of the week for us all! Theo is the more creative parent, so he had fun making Tera’s unicorn Valentine box dreams come alive. I know that it doesn’t need to be THAT fancy, and in future years I’m sure it won’t be….but this was a lot of fun for everyone involved!

Favorite Makeup Product: To be honest, I don’t wear much makeup! I have, however, found a mascara that I really love! It’s this L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara and Primer. The primer is white and goes on first, and the mascara goes on second. Super quick, simple and very affordable, too!

Favorite Product: Do you guys have an electric kettle? Its safe to say this is probably the only kitchen tool that I use every single day- multiple times a day. I’m a big tea drinker and this has always been a favorite of mine! But, also, if I ever get to the point where my kitchen can afford to have some extra space, I would love a tea kettle that whistles on my stove.

Favorite Book: I just finished Natalie Tan’s Book of Luck and Fortune and really enjoyed it! I also ordered a Lent devotional and am so excited to start it next week!

Favorite Blog Post that I Read: Do you follow Whitney at Polka Dotty Place? I just adore her blog and her sweet little family. She is so, so great at making life FUN, but not just over the top Pinterest fun- achievable fun! I truly enjoy reading her blog and getting the most adorable ideas that I can actually implement into my real life! Go give her a follow!

Your Favorite Blog Post that I Wrote: Breaking up with Blogging (this is actually an old post that popped back up and seems to be resonating with a lot of people!). Tips for Saving on Your Grocery Budget . Living on Love (one my favorite posts that I’ve ever written)

Favorite Instagram Account: Do you follow my friend Stephanie at msstephaniegilbert? She’s a pastors wife, Mom, writer, and hilarious to boot! She is always offering so much encouragement and down to earth moments. I love, love, love her! In fact…she was the first person besides Theo who I told about being pregnant with Ezra!

Favorite Podcast Episode: I enjoyed listening to this podcast called Edit Your Life: Easy Eco-Friendly Habits. I will admit that I am not great at being eco-friendly, and it’s something that I want to start working on in my life. I really loved the practical tips in the episode, and how they encouraged to just choose ONE to start with. For some reason, I’ve always felt overwhelmed and completely turned off when people start talking about being eco-friendly. But this episode was encouraging and felt do-able. I highly recommend!

Favorite On the Go Snacks: I’ve been talking a lot on my blog and instastories how to save money on buying groceries, and one of my tips is to avoid individually packaged snacks. HOWEVER, I always keep some individually packaged snacks on hand for outings. My kids are loving chocolate graham cracker bears and applesauce pouches! Remember its all about balance! Sometimes I fill reusable snack bags and pouches with snacks, and sometimes I grab and go!

Favorite Book of the Bible: I just finished up reading Galatians! I honestly wouldn’t claim it as my favorite book of the Bible, but one thing I have truly loved is learning how to STUDY the Bible. Dayton Women in the Word provides an amazing study tools that I have been using for the past year or so, and that has completely changed my Bible study. The resources are available for free at this link.

Favorite Kids Books: We’ve been doing a lot of reading around here lately! I typically read 6-10 books with the kids a day. Here are some of our recent favorites:

Favorite Indoor Activity with Kids: We are at the point of the year where we NEED to get out of the house, but we can’t risk Ezra catching a virus, so we tend to just stay at home. I don’t feel comfortable taking the kids out around a lot of other children, so we have stayed away from the Boonshoft museum, indoor play areas, and anything with a nursery. But the one place we can go to get out of the house that is not as covered in kid germs is the Air Force Museum. Our kids love the wide open hangers to run around in, and they also truly enjoy looking at all the airplanes! It’s such a gem that we have right in our backyard and it’s FREE!

What about you? What are some of your favorites recently?

That valentines box looks seriously cool! Some of my favourite childhood memories are of making weird or creative stuff with my Dad for school projects – and him getting way too into it!
