I’m linking up with Jennifer at Overflowing with Thankfulness and dropping a little post updating you on each family member currently!

Theo & Suzanne

Loving– We love, love, love being able to see each other at school. It feels SO special that I can poke my head out of my classroom door and see every single member of my family within 5 minutes. Such a blessing.

Looking Forward To – I know we need to live in the moment, but we sure are looking forward to summer! With both of us working at school, in addition to Theo’s full time job, the summer will be so lovely since we will actually have three days weekends!

Doing to Be Romantic – Theo got me this journal for Christmas and we are loving writing the prompts back and forth. At this stage in our life, we feel like we rarely get uninterrupted time together and this journal has been so fun to “talk” back and forth about silly, fun or serious things that we normally just don’t have time to talk about!

Changing – we are changing a lot in our family right now. We have VERY full plates right now, and it’s not sustainable in the long run, so we are praying and talking over what we can remove from our plates. Some big changes are coming this year (ahem rental properties)!

Tera

Loving – anything cat or book related! She has learned how to operate the computer and I frequently find tabs open on my computer with stuff like this. Haha!

Looking Forward To – Our February family reunion!

Doing – lots of art, lots of reading!

Changing – Tera is changing from a girl to a young woman more and more each day. The other day she was playing pretend with her brothers and I wondered how many more years/months/weeks we have that she will actually do that. She’s getting more interested in drawing, reading, playing the piano and those “big kid” things. I can’t believe she will hit double digits this year!

Kiah

Loving– basketball. I will never forget watching him play his first basketball game this year. He just LIT UP from within. First quarter he was nervous and just trying to follow the game. But by 2nd quarter I watched him fall absolutely in love with the game. His smile is from ear to ear the entire time he is playing.

Looking Forward To – His next basketball game.

Doing – this kid has more body movement than anyone else I know. I’m not talking “can’t sit still/fidgety”. I’m talking- BIG GROSS MOTOR MOVEMENT ALL THE TIME. Flipping, hopping, bounding, leaping, bouncing- all of those, all of the time. We watched this video one time and this is Kiah 100%.

Changing – Kiah has learned a lot this year. He struggles a bit in school but excels in sports, so we have been working with him to change his attitude towards things he feels he’s “not good at”. He is starting to change and grow and learn about working hard for everything, not just the things he loves.

Ezra

Loving – art and fine motor activities like bead painting, perler beads, etc. He can work on a small diamond painting for an hour at a time. He also loves sticker books, and he especially loves with we will sit and do them with him!

Looking Forward To – being in Kindergarten next year and being on the big playground!

Doing – he loves to keep up with Tera and Kiah. There is something to be said about little brothers who manage to do everything years before their siblings even knew that thing existed. Jump rope, puzzles, basketball….he does it all!

Changing – The other day as Ezra was running around the gym, I couldn’t believe how tall and gangly he is right now! He does not look like a “little boy” anymore!

Orion

Loving – his siblings. HE ADORES THEM and follows them around wherever they go.

Looking Forward To – his next meal.

Doing – DESTROYING THE HOUSE. He’s faster than a tornado!

Changing – everything! This kid grows and develops new skills every day! He can now back himself down the steps or off a bed/couch, he is cruising the furniture and he is starting to climb. He can clap and is starting to say repeated sounds! I cannot believe he is almost one!

And that’s us, currently!
