Lebanon Garden Tour

Last year, the boys and I stumbled upon The Lebanon Garden Tour….we dragged ourselves all around the area and saw some amazing gardens! We loved it so much. It is the perfect little small town activity for a Saturday afternoon. This year, we took Tera and my Mom with us…and we loved it again!

I think that each year they change up the gardens that are visited, because this year I didn’t go to any of the same gardens. Last year the gardens were much bigger and more epic, but there was a lot of driving involved, which made the whole tour take many hours. This year the whole tour was within walking distance of the starting point. However, it was HOT out and we opted to drive to all the stops…it took us about two hours. There is a map and at each stop there is a gnome with some special fact about that garden. If you answer all the questions found at each gnome, you can turn your paper into be entered to win a prize.

This is for sure going to be a yearly tradition. Maybe one day I’ll even have a garden IN the tour 🙂

I kept less detailed track of each spot this year, so this is really just going to be a photo dump of all that we saw and did.

We started at the train station, where we picked up our papers and grabbed some waters. I really wish that we could have walked the whole tour, but it was SO HOT and we were a bit low on time. They do say you can do some on Saturday and some on Sunday, though.

The first house was three families who were really good friends and they combined their three backyards to make one beautiful backyard! Ezra got ahold of my phone and I got lots of blurry pictures of flowers, some pictures of feet, and some great photos of flowers and leaves!

We literally raced through the next several stops because there wasn’t much to see. My Mom and I loved seeing different varieties of flowers and getting some ideas of what we could plant in our own yards!

The people at this house had a great sense of humor and we lingered here for awhile, just looking at everything. They had a “bed of herbs” with an actual bed frame in the herb bed!

The next yard was truly an oasis- it was beautiful!

We had one last stop on our tour, and we were so hot that we paused for a minute to eat a snack and blast the air conditioning. We looked back and Ori was sitting in this seat like he was a big boy or something. And Kiah was cracking us up by sitting in the baby carseat haha.

Last stop was a truly impressive back yard that was laid entirely with stone. It had two fountains, a bunch of bistro tables and the biggest hydrangea’s I’ve ever seen! I know I’ve mentioned it before, but it was so hot that I think Ori had the right idea wanting to jump into that fountain! Don’t worry…he didn’t!

And that is wrap on the 2024 Lebanon Garden Tour! Like I said…I liked last year’s tour better, but this one was still a lot of fun, and you’d better believe I’ll have it on my calendar in 2025 and beyond!
