Month 4 of Pregnancy #3

Well, here we are at nearly 17 weeks and my last update was at 13 weeks!

Size of Baby: The size of a turnip! I don’t even know what a turnip looks like.

Weight Gain: I’ve gained back what I lost so I’m at my same pre-pregnancy weight now (working towards more gaining in the next month)

Symptoms/How I’m Feeling: Starting to feel so much better. I’m able to eat like a fairly normal person, I don’t have to carry a trash bucket with me everywhere, and I finally feel like my brain has cleared and I can function. I still feel awful in the evenings and have some bad days here and there, but I’m SO thankful that the worst of the morning sickness seems to be in the past! My all day sickness lasted all the way through 15 weeks.

Now that the sickness is over, I’m starting to finally feel better about being pregnant in general. I’m starting to look forward to feeling kicks and movement and adding one more to our crew.

Sleep: I sleep great at night!

Cravings: I haven’t had any cravings yet. I’m still coming to grips with enjoying food again. I will say, that the things that sound the most appealing are things that have a LOT of flavor and/or spice…so, ethnic food, foods with lots of seasonings, and fresh salsa.

I can finally enjoy eating a little bit of sugar again (that was my biggest aversion- anything sweet!)

Aversions: I can finally stomach food, and haven’t noticed any official aversions at all. It’s mostly just waves of nausea and in those moments absolutely NOTHING sounds good.

Worst Moment: Going through some crazy transitions as a family.

Best Moment: Theo is officially off probation, we are going to LOVE summer and I have started to feel a few rolls and punches!

Exercise: I usually take the kids for at least a short walk every day. I did one 5k with Heavenly, but we walked most of it. I need to be really intentional about starting to get into an exercise routine, or I’m going to regret it when labor comes around.
